Joe currently servers as Managing Director for the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA). TEMIA is a non-profit that was founded in 2006 by TEM Solutions providers. Since that time, TEMIA has grown to 38 members that have locations in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pac regions. TEMIA members manage over $61 billion of telecom and data spend. His focus areas for TEMIA include program management, recruiting new members, TEM, WEM, and MDM, advocacy and an industry Ethics Code. TEMIA’s mission is to increase the TEM market globally, promote industry knowledge, open industry standards, Key Performance Indicators, and best practices through papers, PR, and webcasts. Joe has led successful research practices at AOTMP and Aberdeen Group. He has also worked as part of the management team that grew a startup at Teldata Control from 47 employees and $5.5 million in revenue to 500 employees and over $50 million in annual revenue. He established a marketing department, justifying positions, recruiting professionals to staff nine positions and developed metrics to track ROI for corporate marketing, product marketing, competitive analysis, pricing, contract review, marketing communications, branding and Internet marketing. He has also worked for two Fortune 100 companies in consumer markets. His career includes experience in management, sales, operations, marketing, and research.
Today, Joe is President and Research Director of Network Trends Now. He also serves as Managing Director for the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA). As part of his work with TEMIA, he has pledged not to enage in any potential conflicts of interest between his work for TEMIA and Network Trends Now. This includes not performing any TEM services, not endorsing any TEM suppliers, and not performing any point to point comparisons of TEM suppliers for enterprises or TEM suppliers.
With his Network Trends Now work, clients are able to accelerate their growth through insight into markets, channels, and improved positioning. In addition through research reports, public speaking, and advisory relationships he provides best practices on how organizations can optimize their TEM programs, information technology (IT) systems, telecommunications networks, operations, and procurement.
Joe holds a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Political Science from Vanderbilt University. He is a runner, swimmer, and technology enthusiast, and music fanatic with over 10,000 songs on his iPod. Joe lives, with his wife and two children, in the village of South Orange, New Jersey an easy commute to New York City.
